AFRIKANER 'HOMELAND' ON THE WAY:

A group which calls itself Boere-Republikeine has settled on a tract of land about 20km from Bronkhorstspruit in Gauteng, with the intention of founding an Afrikaner homeland. Spokesman Fritz Meyer said the organisation bought 180ha of land between Bronkhorspruit and Witbank and intended establishing an independent "fatherland" for Afrikaners. The 110-member organisation has registered as a closed corporation.

The land, which contains the graves of 27 000 Afrikaners who died in concentration camps, is considered to be of great historical significance to the organisation. THE BOERE REPUBLIEK KOOPERATIEF REPLYS AS FOLLOW IN A MEDIA RELEASE;

It seems as though the SA Embassy either deliberately, (or maybe unintentionally) reported half truths about the establishment of a settlement for "Afrikaners" near Bronkhorstspruit. To give more perspective to their release the Co-oporation wishes to add: Although many Boer-people do not use the term Boer when referring to themselves, but rather the more widely used term Afrikaner, they derived from the Boerevolk. Some members of other cultures have over the years also been assimilated in the Boernation because they willingly made the Boer culture their own. People over the whole ethnic spectrum of South Africa are getting fedup with the uncontrolled murder, mayhem and scientifically planned robberies and highjackings. It is because of this, that this initiative is being taken; but also of the urge of the Volk for self-government. (This Volk, it must be remembered, is the Boer nation who was recognised by the whole world for their courage in defending their freedom against the might and fury of the British Empire-the graves of 27 000 women and children, strewn over South Africa, are silent witness to this bitter struggle.) Other factors leading the Boer people to group together to defend and provide for themselves are to be found in the day to day deterioration of South Africa on all fronts. Lessons learned from history, past and present, manifest in the rest of Africa, and are now also rife in South Africa. Farmers were stalked and killed at farm gates in former Rhodesia. It now happens here. Corruption made Africa the pitiful begging-bowl it is today; leaders get the loot and their followers die of hunger- it now happens here, Africa has become an uncontrolled warzone because of the dream of a few liberals to group all races and ethnic groups into one happy Global Village.... we don't want it to happen here; we want peace, not war.

The fact that you speak of a new group is also not quite true , for the growing number of shareholders of the co-oporation are members from the existing political spectrum - but they are one in spirit, in the ideal of the Boers to be free again to govern themselves, with the Trinity of God to guide them.=20 This urge to be free, of course, is a world-wide phenomena, be it the Palestinians, the Serbs, the Bosnians, the Scots, the Irish, the Basques, Hutu=92s, Tootsies, Tamil=92s, etc.- .... groups want self government= because they want to live in peace, not war. We, the Boers, recognise the striving of different Nations to be free. The Balmoral village is but the first in a network of identified growth-points which will be linked together to form a safety-net against the crime and murder paradise of the envisaged Global Village; and to provide safe export corridors to the outside world and the rest of South Africa for goods and services deriving from the Co-oporative. They will also serve as centres from where and to where reports of imminent or potential danger in regions can be reported. It is thus partly based on the Spiderweb system which was founded and developed by our former reconniassance soldiers and the Unita forces of Dr. Jonas Savimbi in wartorn Angola. They established a network of well organised and fortified strongpoints that could effectively cultivate and provide food to the most remote parts of darkest Africa, even when the combined Communist Cuban-Fapla revolution was at its height. Unfortunately these networks faded when, with a flick of the pen, white Army Generals and Politicians, turned their backs on their former allies, in favour of a Communist handover. The blood of many young Boers were suddenly forgotten and buried..... so they think.
